Calling all seniors in Calgary, Alberta! Games 4 Seniors just launched, and we need seniors for usability testing. As excited as we are to have launched this game for seniors, our efforts so far are a collection of our best assumptions that we hope seniors will enjoy as interactive entertainment.
The next step in our game development journey is to validate our assumptions by testing the game with real seniors. We plan to achieve this by organizing usability studies in the Calgary area that will help us to understand what is working, and what isn't.
Usability testing is a method of testing the functionality of a website, app, or other digital product by observing real users as they attempt to complete tasks. The users are observed by app designers who want to discover real world insights which help to inform user experience improvements. If this sounds too formal for you, don't run away just yet. We plan for our usability studies to be relaxed in-person engagements that are fun and enjoyable for our participants.
Our process couldn't be much simpler. We will come to wherever you are to observe your use of Games 4 Seniors. We may have some questions to ask so we can understand how you feel about different features, and we will be capturing your feedback to measure your levels of enjoyment as you experience different parts of the game. We want this process to feel like new friends trying a game together, while sharing what you enjoy and what you don't enjoy about the game in a relaxed environment.
